Query Lookup Show Hidden Registry entry

Specify whether Hidden values in a Lookup List are visible to users when in Search (Query) mode.

Usage

This Registry entry can be assigned to users and groups:

Key User User Group Group Group Group
Key 1 User User Group Group Group Group
Key 2 user user group group Default Default
Key 3 Table Table Table Table Table Table
Key 4 table Default table Default table Default
Key 5 Query Lookup Show Hidden
Key 6 column or Default
Value boolean

where:

column

is a back-end column name; or use Default for all columns in the specified table(s).

boolean

is true (entries with the Hidden flag set to Yes are visible when viewing a Lookup list in Search mode) or false (entries with the Hidden flag set to Yes are not visible in Search mode).

Note: If this entry is not present, a setting of true is assumed.
Be aware that if set to false, some records may not be retrieved when querying the field as values in the Lookup List may be hidden and (potentially) not searched for.

Examples

Any entry in the Lookup List associated with the NamFirst field in eparties is not visible while in Search mode provided it has its Hidden flag set to Yes:

Key Setting
Key 1 Group
Key 2 Default
Key 3 Table
Key 4 eparties
Key 5 Query Lookup Show Hidden
Key 6 NamFirst
Value false

The equivalent of the System default setting of true:

Key 1 Group
Key 2 Default
Key 3 Table
Key 4 Default
Key 5 Query Lookup Show Hidden
Key 6 Default
Value true
